WOMEN MAKE US BETTER

100 years ago, a few industrious women wrote letters to apply to the biggest engineering schools. They were promptly rejected... for being women. Today, only 13% of engineers are women. So after discovering the egregious rejection letters from 100 years ago, we felt the real problem was that they still felt relevant. So, we asked Boeing’s top female engineers to read them and inspire change with #WomenMakeUsBetter.

Following our film and discovery of the letters, Boeing committed to building a diverse STEM pipeline by creating the #WomenMakeUsBetter initiative. As of 2021, Boeing has invested $51 million across 423 grants to support young women and girls in STEM globally, encouraging top talent to join the industry.
